What We Believe
Along with all other Christian churches, Lutherans believe in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit. We also confess that we are sinful beings, doing what God forbids and failing to do the good he commands, in all that we think, say and do. We cannot free ourselves from our sinful condition and need a Savior to save us from the rightful punishment against our rebellion against God, which is death. Thankfully, we gather together in the Church to celebrate the life, sacrificial death and resurrection from the dead of God the Son, Jesus Christ, for us so that we might be forgiven and once again serve God as his people. We do so through the means of grace, namely, the Bible, Baptism and Communion, which God has given to us, so that we might know him by faith and receive his gifts of forgiveness, everlasting life and salvation from his judgment.
